Simon says Challenge 2# Recycle

We had a fabulous response for the 1st Challenge 110 entries :-)Thanks to everyone who entered. Let's see if we can get even more with the 2nd one !!
This week on the Simon says Challenge DT Chris had the brilliant idea of a 'Recycling' Challenge, we should all be doing our bit for the environment eh girls ( and boys ! )
You can use anything on your cards, but you must use at least one item that has been used before, the DT have some lovely ideas, so pop over to their blogs to see what they have made :-)
My sister and her daughter recently went to New York so I thought I would make them a 6x6 photo album each. The mountboard was retrieved from my local framer's bin, no I didn't rummage he very kindly rummaged for me :-) The stamps were fom my son's old stamp collection, the string was from a parcel and the ribbon was from the inside of tops ( you know the bits that always stick out !! ) The only thing that was new is the large pieces of paper, the others were from my scrap box, the black gems and of course the rings for the 'Bind-it-all'.

The Statue of Liberty image is from
Simon Says Clear Stamps DREAM PARIS ROME NEW YORK Exclusive!
The paper is Basic Grey porcelain papers which are also from the Simon Says Stamp Store

The text and 'Big Apple' were cut out on my cricut, the text inside is stamped with a 'hero arts' mixed alphabet set

Now go and see the Simon Says Challenge blog to see the fabulous creations that the rest of the Design Team made to 'inspire' you, don't forget to leave them a nice comment too :-)

Thanks for looking, your comments are appreciated so please leave me one :-)
Before you leave tho, check out my blog candy :-)
I look forward to seeing your entries in the challenge :-)

Funky Fairy's Challenge 11# Recipe

This week on the Funky Fairy's Challenge
is a recipe 1 image 2 papers 3 embellishments :-)
I used a Penny Black stamp,'long stem cuties', 2 papers from the 'In with the Old' set from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts' and my 3 embellishments are 1 flower, 1 brad, 1 ribbon :-)

I printed the 'in with the old' paper onto thin mulberry paper, I thought that it might get stuck in the printer but thought it was worth a try, and what are husbands for if not to 'sort' that sort of stuff out if it goes all horribly wrong :-) but luckily it printed OK :-) yay. I also printed a sheet of plain pink which I stamped with script.
I had a spare piece of mountboard handy, so i stamped the image onto mulberry paper too and stuck it onto the mountboard, masked the image and sprayed with glimmer mists, I then coloured with inks, which didn't look right !! so i stamped them onto card and coloured them again and 3D'd them, ,,, much better !! ( as you can see I was trying new techniques here !! )
The base card was stardream too, so the whole card is really shimmery and lovely in real life :-)
The sentiment is from the Clare Curd sentiment set, and the brad is from Doodlebug :-)
Thanks for looking, now go and create something to enter our challenge :-) There are lots of free downloadable papers on the Blog Of Inspiration, just scroll down and they're on the right hand side :-)To be in with a chance of winning a fabulous download prize this challenge must not be linked to others :-)
